STARINJECT PU-55 is a single component very low viscous, solvent-free polyurethane injection resin. In contact with water, in a uniform, closed environment forms a foam and makes the pores watertight . Foam so generated is elastic and flexible. Reaction with water yields a flexible polyurethane foam. Can be injected with a one- component pump.

RCC Waterproofing Coating

• Perma Bitu Coat is a dark brown liquid, which turns black upon drying. It is used in waterproofing and protection of subsoil structures from chloride and sulphate attack.

Primary Uses :

• Perma Bitu Coat is used for waterproofing all type of RCC, brickbat coba, asbestos cement sheets and zinc/aluminum sheets etc.
• Perma Bitu Coat can be used for repairing the damaged bitumen felts, cracked stoneware drainage pipes.
• As damp proof course applied under the first layer of bricks or blocks work in the masonry.
• As waterproof coating externally applied on the basement walls, footings etc before back filling.

Direction For Use
Perma Bitu Coat Primer:

• Mix one volume of Perma Bitu Coat with four Volumes of water. One litre Perma Bitu Coat can prime 450 Sqft of area

Perma Bitu Coat Putty:

• Mix one volume of Perma Bitu Coat with two volumes of quartz powder or silica flour.

Perma Bitu Coat Mortar:

• Mix one volume of Perma Bitu Coat with three volumes of dry natural sand. One litre Perma Bitu Coat yields two litres of mortar.

Waterproofing normal concrete and brick bat coba:

• Clean the surface to remove all loose particles. Cracks if any on the surface can be suitably widened. Prime the widened cracks and fill them with Perma Bitu Coat Putty.

Repairing damaged bituminous felts:

• Cut to widen the cracks and cut out the de-bonded felt. Prime and fill the cracks with Perma Bitu Coat Putty and fill the de-bonded cut out areas with Perma Bitu Coat Mortar. Brush apply Perma Bitu Coat on the entire area in two coats.

Asbestos /Zinc /Aluminium Sheet roofing:

• Provide scrim or fibre glass fabric at J. Bolts and junction of sheet over one coat of Perma Bitu Coat and then brush apply Perma Bitu Coat on the entire surface in two to three coats.

Cracked drainage pipes:

• Brush apply Perma Bitu Coat on the cracked pipe. When the first coat is still wet wrap glass / scrim fabric around the pipe and apply second coat of Perma Bitu Coat on the fabric.

Damp proof course:

• On the cleaned plinth apply two coats of Perma Bitu Coat. The second coat applied after about four hours of first coat. When the second coat is still wet blind it with clean sharp sand to provide mechanical key.

Concealed water and drainage pipes:

• It is a good idea to coat all concealed water and drainage pipes with Perma Bitu Coat to protect concrete from damage due to leakages. Apply one coat of Perma Bitu Coat on the pipe and wrap it with fibre mesh and apply second coat of Perma Bitu Coat and back fill.

Subsoil Structures:

• Subsoil structures though main load bearing, in majority of the cases are subjected to water pressure along with termite chloride and sulphate attack. 

Direction For Use

• Perma Elasto Shield PU – White is a single component, VOC-compliant, ready-to-use polyurethane based hybrid liquid waterproofing membrane that is applied with a brush or stiff roller. It cures by reaction with humidity, maintains its elasticity, suitable for applications to horizontal and vertical surfaces. Perma Elasto Shield PU – White waterproofs flat roofs, pitched roofs, parapet walls, metal roof decks, terraces, etc., and provides a seamless elastomeric flexible roofing membrane that stays watertight longer than conventional seamed roofs. It will not crack, crumble, or peel despite exposure to severe weather or total joint movement. It is designed for maximum flexibility and water resistance. Upon curing Perma Elasto Shield PU – White forms a tough and flexible membrane which is resistant to a wide range of temperatures, oxidation, radiation and ultra violet rays.

Surface Preparation:

• Surface to be waterproofed shall be dry, clean, sound and free of all contaminants which may interfere with adhesion or proper curing. The substrates should not contain holes or cracks and should be dust-free. All shrinkage cracks shall be treated with suitable material. Moving structural cracks greater than 1/16” (1.6 mm) shall be routed out and caulked with approved PERMA material. Detailing like horizontal vertical junctures, 

Application:

• This rapid setting liquid is spread at the desired thickness onto the prepared surface. The coating is applied from the container using standard roofing brushes, squeegees or airless spray equipment at the recommended coverage rates on properly cleaned

• Skin: Avoid repeated or prolonged contact, if contact occurs ,clean with hand cleaner that removes oil or grease , then clean with soap and water.
• Eyes: Contact could cause irritation. If contact occurs ,flush with clean water.
• Inhalation: Can cause dizziness. Remove to fresh air and if breathing difficulty persist administer oxygen.

 

Storage:

• Store in cool, dry area. Product is not flammable. Do not allow to freeze.

 

Caution:

• Do not mix with water and do not apply on moist surfaces. The surface to be applied should be free of moisture.

Coverage:

• 1.4kg of Perma Elasto Shield PU – White will cover an area of 1sq/mt. when applied in 2 coats at a thickness of 1000 microns.

Direction for Use:

• Primer: Clean the surface thoroughly with water to remove all loose particles. Apply a coat of Perma Multi Prime. After 8 to 12 hours of the primer coat apply Perma Wall Guard.
• Perma Wall Guard shall be applied in two coats at intervals of 12 to 24 hours between coats with a painters brush or suitable rollers.

Surface Preparation:

• Clean the surface with pressure jet of water to remove all loose material. Thoroughly clean and remove mould release oil etc. from the RCC surfaces. Repair all cracks by widening into “V” shaped groove and filling them with perma.

Mechanical damages to the membrane can easily be repaired by spot application. The membrane allows the concrete surface to breathe. Seamless application no joints are requried. 

Direction For Use:

• Waterproofing normal concrete: Clean the surface to remove all loose particles and any deleterious matter. Repair all cracks, honeycombs and blemishes from the concrete surface. Brush-apply Eazee Coat primer on the entire surface liberally. Primer is prepared by diluting one part by volume of Eazee Coat with one volume of water.
• When the primer coat is just dry apply the second coat running the brush perpendicular to the first coat. Provide fibre-glass or scrim fabric at junctions of vertical and horizontal surfaces after one coat then apply the second coat. On asbestos sheet roofing: Provide scrim or fibre-glass fabric at J bolts and junction of sheets over one coat of bitu Coat and then brush apply Eazee Coat on the entire surface in two coats. • Perma Eazee Coat is a milky white liquid which can be brush applied to most structural surfaces to make them waterproof. The coating is UV stable and highly flexible.

Perma Latex SBR is based on Styrene Butadiene rubber, and special adhesive and bonding chemicals along with hydrophilic agents. Perma Latex SBR gives a versatile performance in many civil engineering applications. The product is a milky white liquid.

Primary Uses :

• Perma Latex SBR is a very superior quality emulsion which enhances the performance of cement mortar and concrete. Some examples from its innumerable uses are as follows:
• In concrete repairs as in combination with cement (1:1) it produces a very strong primer and as an additive in the mortar to make strong water proof plaster

Direction For Use:

• Clean the surface to be treated so that sound concrete surface is visible.
• Repair all cracks by chasing out to form ‘V’ shaped groove 10 mm wide and 10 mm deep.
• Prime the groove by Perma Seal slurry and fill by cement sand mortar admixed with 20% Perma Seal Powder.
• Saturate all the surface to be treated with water and avoid stagnation of water in depressions and recesses.
• Mix Perma Seal powder 2 1/2 volumes with 1 volume of water to form a uniform consistency slurry.
• Brush apply this slurry by nylon brush on the water saturated surface in two coats.
• Plaster the surface immediately and cure normally.

Action:

• Perma Seal functions by crystallization process. When Perma Seal slurry is applied on saturated concrete surface the active ingredients penetrate the water bearing capillaries of concrete and react with cement particles to form non soluble crystals which block these capillaries. Further the active chemicals of Perma Seal remain on the surface of concrete to reactivate the crystallisation process as and when a new capillary is formed. 

Health and Safety:

• Inhalation of dust should be avoided by wearing light masks during application. Direct contact of Perma Seal slurry should be avoided by wearing gloves. Perma Seal contains strong alkalis and hygroscopic chemicals.

Perma Guard is a polymer modified cementations water proofing system with a very wide scope of applications in water proofing and corrosion inhibition situations. Perma Guard is a two component material which forms a flexible reinforced membrane upon curing. Can resist up to 10 bar water pressure.

Primary Uses :

• Perma Guard has been found to perform exceptionally with following applications:
• RCC terrace waterproofing
• Sealing leakage through cast iron, asbestos or stoneware pipes
• Coating on bridge girders and under deck waterproofing of bridges
• Sealing cracks in asbestos cement sheets and sealing 'J' bolt openings
• Coating on leaky plaster surfaces

Advantages :

• Perma Guard membrane when applied on concrete surface allows the concrete to breathe normally while waterproofing the treated area perfectly
• Perma Guard membrane is flexible hence accommodates deflection and minor movements of the structures
• Being acrylic based Perma Guard has strong adhesion and corrosion inhibition properties
• It is easy to use. Just mix the pre-measured and packed liquid and powder components of Perma Guard and brush apply

Direction for Use:

• Clean the area to remove all loose particles, oil, grease and any such deleterious products and wet it with water. If the surface is rough, mix Perma Guard liquid and water in the proportion of 1:2 and brush apply on pre-wet surface.
• Mix the powder and liquid ingredients of the product thoroughly to form smooth consistency slurry. Avoid part mixing of the ingredients of packing.
• Brush apply Perma Guard slurry on the surface to be treated.
• Immediately cover the treated surface with cement sand 1:4 plaster or screed concrete & cure normally.
• Perma Guard can be applied on wood, steel, metal and concrete substrates. Steel and metal surfaces should be clean and free from rust and mill scales. Concrete substrate on which Perma Guard is to be applied, should be well cured and sound, free from cracks, oil contamination etc. Cracks, if any, should be repaired properly, before application of Perma Guard.
• Substrate should be thoroughly pre-wetted with water to a saturated surface dry condition before the first coat of Perma Guard is applied. The second coat can be applied after 4 to 5 hours, i.e. after the first coat has dried.

Action:

• When the two components i.e. liquid and polymer modified cementitious powder is mixed a smooth consistency slurry is obtained. This slurry when brush applied on the surface to be treated forms a flexible film which has very strong adhesion to the applied surface. The film is totally waterproof and resistant to chemicals and pollution attacks.

Coverage:

Protective coating against salt (chloride ion) attack 2.0 kg/m² per coat.

Waterproof membrane up to 1 metre water head, 1.5 kg/m² per coat.

Waterproof membrane more than 1 metre water head 2.0 kg/m² per coat. (Minimum 2 coats should always be used.)

Perma Plast-O-Proof STD Is an integral water proofing compound Ideal for use with both Concrete and Plasters. PIast-Q-Proof STD is based on specialized surfactants and synthetic resin which Impart superior flow and cohesive properties in concrete and mortars. • In concrete:

It disrupts the capillary network within the concrete mass which could conduct water through concrete.

It significantly reduces water demand to bring down W/C ratio in the range of-0.45 which generally represents a sound concrete

• In Mortar:

It reduces the possibility of shrinkage cracks.

It improves adhesive and tensile properties of mortar.

To improve workability and trowelling properties of sand/cement mortar mixes during application.

Caution:

A good waterproof concrete or plaster is achieved by good construction practices. Precautions to be taken to achieve the goals include:

• Proper mix design.
• Selection of good aggregates, sand and cement.
• Adhering to W/C ratio in the range of 0.45.
• Proper mixing, placing and curing.
• Use of a good integral waterproofer.
• It is emphasised that integral water proofers and plasticizers only help in making a good concrete better. Hence observance of good construction practices is of utmost importance for achieving the overall goal.

Perma Superflex is a polymer based liquid for making cement based polymer modified perma ability reducing slurry coating. It is applied to concrete and mortar surfaces to prevent leakage and dampness.It has flexibility to accommodate thermal expansion and contraction of concrete.

Typical Use:

• Perma Super Flex is used as an external and internal waterproofing coating, damp proofing, hairline crack sealing and protection from chloride in the various structures such as water- tanks, basements, terraces, balconies, bridges, retaining walls, sea walls, small flat roofs, abrasion resistant lining etc.

 

Direction for Use:

• A dry mix of good quality cement with fine and clean sand should be prepared in the proportion of 1:1 by weight. This should be mixed with Perma Superflex in proportion of one part of Perma Superflex to two parts of the dry mix to form a slurry. For trowellable consistency and putty, the proportion of Perma Superflex should be reduced accordingly. The mixing for slurry should be done in a clean container by slowly adding the powder component to Perma Superflex and stirring with a slow speed mixer. Mixing should be done until a uniform consistency is achieved. The surface to be treated should be cleaned and dampened immediately before the slurry application.
• While the surface is still damp apply the first coat and leave to harden (2 – 6 Hours) before application of second coat. For slurry application use a hard plastic bristled brush or broom. Ater the second coat has been applied finish by rubbing with a soft, dry sponge. For waterproofing, slurry should be used at the rate of 3 kg/m2.

Curing:

• Protect the freshly applied product against direct sunlight. Use damp hessian or poly-ethylene sheets to aid curing.
• Severe water penetration and high water pressure situation may require Perma seal or Perma Guard waterproofing systems.

Perma Polycrete is a cementatious grey powder with micro fine aggregates which allows reconcreting of the damaged, dillapidated structures. The product is a boon for present day rehabilitation engineers. The product needs only addition of water to form concrete with enormous initial and final strengths. The product is reinforced with glass fibers to strengthen cohesion and make it crack resistant.

Primary Uses :

• Perma Polycrete is a very handy tool in the hands of an advanced structural repair engineer to reconstruct parts of beam a and columns with far superior strength, fair finished and with very high speed.

• Perma Polycrete develops light compressive tensile and flexural strength in excess of parent concrete.
• Perma Polycrete develops a very strong bond with the parent concrete. It is impermeable and protects reinforcements from corrosion.

Directions for Use:

• Mix Perma Polycrete with water in the proportion of 200 ml water to 1 kg polycrete to get a uniform viscous mortar. First add 80 % of recommended water to the powder and mix well. Then slowly add water to get the right consistency (water required for a consistency may vary by 10 to 20 % depending upon various factors).Apply this mortar to the surface to be repaired and trowel it to restore the surface. On difficult surfaces use SBR cement primer. Where subsequent mortar finish is desired over the repaired area, scratch the surface with a wire to create a mechanical key.

Surface Preparation:

• Surfaces to be reconcreted with Perma Polycrete should be clean, sound , free from any laitance or any deleterious material. Weak portions of the concrete should be cut back to sound surface. Reinforcements should be cleaned to remove rust and supplement additional reinforcements wherever required. Prime the surface with SBR cement primer if the surface is too porous.

Perma Plast-O-Proof is integral water proofing compound ideal for use with both Concrete and Plasters. Perma Plast-O-Proof is based on specialized surfactants and synthetic resin which impart superior flow and cohesive properties in concrete and mortars. Use of integral water proofing compounds in concrete and mortar is one of the precautions taken to achieve a waterproof concrete or plaster.

Caution:
A good waterproof concrete or plaster is achieved by good construction practices. Precautions to be taken to achieve the goals include:

• Proper mix design.

• Adhering to W/C ratio in the range of 0.45.
• Proper mixing, placing and curing.
• Use of a good integral waterproofer.

Direction for Use:

• Add Plast-O-Proof in concrete and mortar along with water at the rate of 100 ml per bag of cement, in demanding situations the dosage could be doubled.

Perma Waterproof Butyl Tape SF-50 Is a single sided butyl rubber adhesive tape which is used for water proofing all joints in construction Industry, during construction and post construction.

Surface Protection:

• Surfaces to be treated with Perma Shield should be cleaned free from oil, grease and loose particles. All laitance and loose particles should be removed by wire brushing or mechanical scrabbling. All undulations and cracks should be made good using Perma Crackfill or Perma Rapid Repair system. In case of badly honeycombed surfaces, give a layer of screed or plaster to make it worthy to receive the treatment.
• The system consists of application of 1 or 2 Barrier Coats depending upon severity of problem. In severe cases apply 3 Barrier Coats. Plaster immediately where desired.

Direction For Use:

Seepages and dampness through walls.

• Remove the entire plaster.
• Apply one coat of plaster and cure it for 7 days.
• Apply one coat of Barrier coat and immediately complete the second coat of plaster and cure normally.

 

Leakage from sunken slabs of toilets.

• Stop the use of upper floor toilet till the dripping stops.
• Remove the plaster or scrape the concrete. If the surface to be applied is concrete only which is sound then use the surface directly.
• Apply two Barrier coats and plaster the surface immediately.

Action:

• When the two components i.e. liquid and polymer modified cementitious powder is mixed a smooth consistency slurry is obtained. This slurry when brush applied on the surface to be treated forms a flexible film which has very strong adhesion to the applied surface. The film is totally waterproof and resistant to chemicals and pollution attacks.

• A crystalline integral waterproofing system for concrete and mortars

Description:

• Perma Seal Admix is an integral waterproofing compound in powder form which acts by crystallization method to seal capillaries in concretes and mortars. Perma Seal Admix is added to the concrete or mortar at the time of batching. Perma Seal Admix is a free flowing powder, composed of ordinary Portland cement, selected treated fillers and proprietary active chemical ingredients. In concrete the active ingredients of Perma Seal Admix react with the products of cement hydration in presence of moisture to activate catalytic reaction which produces non soluble
• crystalline formations which block the capillaries effectively and permanently.

Primary Uses:
Perma Seal Admix is used effectively as an integral waterproofing compound in

• concrete during construction of all water retaining structures, underground and overhead water tanks, swimming pools, water treatment plants, basements, podium slabs, roof slabs and all RCC members around toilets and bathrooms in a building structure.

Advantages:

• Perma Seal Admix becomes an integral part of the concrete and waterproofs it.
• Once used as an integral waterproofer Perma Seal Admix resists hydrostatic pressures from both positive and negative sides of the structure.
• This waterproofing system allows the concrete to breathe normally, thereby keeping the concrete healthy for ages.
• Simple dosing into the concrete batching mixers as there is no separate application cost involved.
• Perma Seal Admix works by crystallization process. Unlike other integral waterproofers this is not a mere plasticizing admixture hence it ensures good waterproofing success during concreting itself.
• Perma Seal Admix does not alter the setting time of the cement in any way. This can be used in any season irrespective of temperature conditions which are within recommendation of the concreting practice codes.
• Perma Seal Admix is alkaline in nature hence it preserves the alkaline nature of concrete surrounding the reinforcing steel.

Action:

• Perma Seal Admix is composed of Ordinary Portland Cement selected and treated fillers and proprietary active chemicals. In contact with the moisture these active chemicals catalyze the reaction of products of cement hydration to form insoluble micro-fine crystals which effectively block the capillary structures in the concrete body blocking the passage of water. Thus the concrete becomes permanently sealed against any penetrating water or liquids.

Direction For Use:

• Perma Seal Admix is recommended at a dosage of 2% by weight of cement. Perma Seal Admix is added to the dry mix of concrete or mortar at the recommended dosage and mixed before addition of designed amount of water. Perma Seal Admix does not alter the water requirement of the concrete. Mixing, placing, compacting and curing of concrete is expected to go as per usual practice and no special care or requirement is needed because of Perma Seal Admix addition to the concrete mix.

Good Concreting Pratice:

• For achieving good quality waterproof concrete the following guidelines are recommended:
• Concreting when ambient temperatures are over 33oC or below 4oC is not recommended.
• Minimum cement content in concrete for achieving good waterproof quality is 300Kgs/ M3 .
• Pouring of the concrete after its initial or final setting time of the concrete has lapsed is not recommended.
• For a waterproof concrete water/cement ratio should be maintained at 0.43 or leff depending upon grade of concrete.

Direction For Use:

• Primer: Clean the surface thoroughly with water to remove all loose particles.
• Apply a coat of Perma Multi Prime.
• After 8 to 12 hours of the primer coat apply Perma Flex Coat.
• Perma Flex Coat shall be applied in two coats at intervals of 12 to 24 hours between coats with a painters brush or suitable rollers.
• However the first coat of Perma Flex Coat shall be diluted with 25 % water.

Surface Preparation:

• Clean the surface with pressure jet of water to remove all loose material. Thoroughly clean and remove mould release oil etc. from the RCC surfaces. Repair all cracks by widening into "V" shaped grove and filling them with this. On the dead walls cut a groove of size 6mm X 6mm in the plaster as a stress release joint on the centre of the column and the beam positions and fill the joint before application of the Perma Flex Coat.

Description:

• Perma Elasto Shield PU is a single component VOC compliant, ready to use, liquid polyurethane based waterproofing membrane. It is composed of a blend of polyurethane and selected hydrophobic fillers, minerals, gelling agents and special stabilizers. It cures by reaction with humidity, maintains its elasticity and is suitable for use both on horizontal as well as vertical surfaces. Direction for Use:

• Surface to be waterproofed shall be dry, clean, sound and free of all contaminants which may interfere with adhesion or proper curing .The substrates should not contain holes or cracks and should be dust free. All shrinkage cracks shall be treated with suitable material.

 

Application:

• Perma Elasto Shield PU is spread at the desired thickness onto the prepared surface. The coating is applied from the container using standard roofing brushes, squeegees or airless spray equipment at the recommended coverage rates on properly cleaned and prepared dry substrates. Application of the Perma Elasto Shield PU system should be done in one complete step to create a smooth uniform self leveling surface without cold joints, lines or streaks. Apply the first coat at the rate of 500 micron thickness. Let it dry fully (approximately 4-6 hours should be waited between two layers), then apply the second coat (500 micron thickness) .Waiting time shortens in hot weather and lengthens in cold weather.

Caution:- 

• Do not mix with water and do not apply on moist surfaces. The surface to be applied should be free of moisture.

Health and Safety:

• Wear protective clothing, gloves and goggles.
• Skin: Avoid repeated or prolonged contact, if contact occurs ,clean with hand cleaner that removes oil or grease , then clean with soap and water.
• Eyes: Contact could cause irritation. If contact occurs ,flush with clean water.
• Inhalation: Can cause dizziness. Remove to fresh air and if breathing difficulty persist administer oxygen.
