Perma Floor Top AL/QZ is a floor hardening compound based on non-oxidising metallic carborandum aggregates and a blend of ordinary portland cements and activating chemicals. Perma Floor Top AL is used on green concrete of industrial floors to achieve high abrasion and impact resistance properties on the finished floors.

A special grade of product based on aluminum oxide aggregates which makes the floor exceptionally hard durable and abrasion resistant. Floors treated with Perma Floor Top AL are resistant to oil and grease spillages and tend to be non slippery. Further these floors are resistant to spillages of acids and alkalis. These floors withstand constant spillages of water. Perma Floor Top AL treated floors are ideally suited for engineering workshops, warehouses, abattoirs, service stations etc.

Direction For Use:

• After floor concreting when the concrete is firm to take the weight of workman sprinkle Perma Floor Top AL at the desired rate on the green concrete and trowel it in with metal floats or power trowel. Care should be taken to see that concrete surface is just ready to receive dry shake powder. If delayed too much it will become unworkable and if Perma Floor Top AL is sprinkled too early it will get mixed with the concrete and loose its utility. Sprinkling of Perma Floor Top AL should be controlled such that an uniform quantity of the product is sprinkled throughout. It may be suggested that broadcasting of Perma Floor Top AL be done in two stages. The second stage of broadcasting done in a perpendicular direction to the first stage broad cast.

• Perma Floor Top AL is available in Dark Grey,Red, Blue, Leafy Green, Olive Green, Green ,Terracotta and Terracotta Brown.

• Floor being a very important utility member of any industrial or commercial unit sufficient care needs to be taken while designing and execution. The following precautions however need to be taken while concreting a floor

Specification:
Perma Concrete Set is a chloride based accelerating admixture for use in non reinforced concrete and mortars. When admixed with concrete and mortar along with water Perma Concrete Set accelerates the setting time of the concrete and mortar and helps in achieving high early strength. This product is of use in shot-creting and guniting and in concreting and rendering in cold climatic conditions. Paver industry can highly benefit from the use of this product as it helps in early de-moulding and early shifting of the paver blocks to site saving enormous amount of space utilized in conventional curing and its strength development.

Directions for Use:
In case of shot-creting / guniting, Perma Concrete Set is mixed in the guaging water in the required proportion before addition to the dry mix. Hence it can be successfully used in both dry and wet shot-creting processes and for pre-casting elements. Perma Concrete Set is dosed through a separate dosing tank fitted above the mixer. It can be dosed manually as well after addition of required water.

Dosage:
Required dosage of Perma Concrete Set has to be arrived at site by practical trials. The dosage is dependent on temperature conditions, type of cement, type of acceleration required. We however recommend dosages of 1 to 10 percent by weight of cement. Lower dosages are however used in pre-cast elements and higher dosages are used in shot-creting. For waterproofing the minimum dosage of the product shall be 250 gms/50kg bag of cement.

Caution:
Over dosage of Perma Concrete Set results in flash setting of concrete or mortars.

• Do not use frozen aggregates in concreting in low temperature areas.
• For best results keep gauging water to a minimum.
• Areas to be concreted or shot-creted should be free from ice.
• Fresh concrete should be so sheltered as to ensure the preservation of heat of hydration evolved.
• The result laid down by concreting authorities for cold weather should be strictly followed.

 

Compatibility:
Perma Concrete Set is compatible with all types of Portland cements including sulphate resisting cement. For use with other cements and along with other admixtures please seek the advice of your nearest Perma technical officer or Distributor. Perma Concrete Set should not be premixed with other admixtures. If other compatible admixtures are to be used in concrete then dose them separately.

 

Shelf Life:
Perma Concrete Set has a shelf life of 24 months if stored in manufacturer’s original packing in a cool and dry place away from moisture and heat.
